When planning Philanthropy and Community Service events, Kappa Alpha Theta likes to get involved with all different kinds of service. We participate in fundraisers like our annual Rock La CASA event, yet we also participate in very personal events such as Parents Night Out, where our sisters interact one-on-one with local children. Theta is also associated with other organizations, namely JDRF (the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), and Adopt-A-Family. These varied organizations show Thetas' commitment to service as a whole. Theta also tries to take part in fun events that involve both the Greek community and non-Greeks. We are always looking for new ways to get involved and improve upon our already well-known campus events. Last years service projects included: Southside Sweep, Lehighs World Cup Soccer Tournament, Spooktacular, Rally on the Hill, Fashion for a Cure, Spring Fling, and Relay for Life, plus many others. This year, sisters volunteer weekly at the America Reads and Counts Homework Club, as well as participate in many campus clubs and activities.
